Mortgages

We can help you with a comprehensive range of first charge mortgages, from across the marketplace, which lenders make available to mortgage intermediaries for which we will be paid a procuration fee by the lender. These will help meet all kinds of different needs and criteria.

These include mortgages for the employed and self-employed, buy-to-let*, self-build mortgages, holiday homes in the UK, expats** and access to commercial mortgages, and mortgages for holiday homes abroad*.

We can also set up Family Assistance for parents or grandparents helping their children and grandchildren onto the property ladder.

First-time buyers

Whether you’re taking your first step onto the property ladder, or you’re a parent helping your child to buy their first home, we can find the right mortgage for you. We will manage the application process from start to finish, relieving you of much of the stress.

Know your options

Buying a new home can be daunting and stressful, but our qualified mortgage Partners can guide you through the maze of options – fixed rate or tracker, flexible or offset – and support you every step of the way, from application to completion.

Remortgaging

You might want to raise capital against your property, carry out home improvements or simply reduce your monthly outgoings by taking advantage of more competitive mortgage rates. If remortgaging is your priority, we will look after your application for you, from start to finish.

Your home or other property may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

Enquiries for Commercial mortgages and mortgages for holiday homes abroad will be referred to a service that is separate and distinct to those offered by St James's Place.

* Commercial and some buy-to-let mortgages are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

** subject to certain terms and conditions being met.
